What you will do:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure, high-performance software solutions that meet HIPAA compliance standards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert complex requirements into maintainable and scalable technical specifications
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and best practice sharing while seeking mentorship opportunities
- Apply modern engineering techniques such as automation, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline development, and infrastructure as code (IaC) to improve delivery speed and system reliability
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives as needed
- Monitor and test applications proactively to ensure optimal performance, security, and regulatory compliance
- Engage in architectural planning and learn from senior developers to support system design and evolution
- Provide on-call support and perform additional responsibilities as required
What you will need to be successful:
- Associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, along with 5+ years of hands-on experience in application development (equivalent practical experience will also be considered)
- Familiarity with widely used Java-based web technologies and frameworks
- Strong command of SQL and expertise in designing relational databases
- Practical experience with modern version control tools such as Git
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and consistently deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
- Experience building applications using modern programming languages like Java, C#, or Python, along with database and SQL proficiency
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline development
- Understanding of healthcare or insurance systems, including areas such as claims processing, enrollment workflows, or regulatory compliance
